Odyssey C-512 Chase BMX Sprocket. The new Chase sprocket is based on the old Z-915 design released in the mid 90's The Z-915 was a simple 5-spoke racing sprocket that was 5mm thick, and according to the 1996 catalogue, offered riders "unbending performance". The sprocket was available in 40t through 46t sizes and a bunch of anodized colours that were popular at the time. Fast forward about 15 years and Chase Hawk noticed the Z-915 sprocket sitting in the Odyssey warehouse and asked them to bring back a modernized version of it. The new C-512 sprocket is named after the area code in Austin, TX, where Chase resides. The modern updates include the use of 6mm thick, 7075-T6 aluminium (for super unbending performance), and a proprietary Incisor Tooth pattern design that improves chain engagement. |
